Bummertronix5000. Mike Napoli was the best catcher the Angels have had since Bengie Molina was jettisoned in 2006. Funny thing is that when Bengie left Anaheim he signed with Toronto. Those guys must really love what Anaheim has cookin’ behind the plate. Bengie’s defensive ability and clutch hitting were never really replaced but the loss of B-Mo was definitely eased by the fact that we had Mike Napoli step it up where highly touted Jeff Mathis never did. I can’t imagine that the Angels would have been as successful as they have been for the past five seasons(minus last year) without Mike Napoli.
